Pairing: hinted Dean/Gabriel
Rating: R
Warnings: Canon character death, lots of swearing, mention of adult situations
Summary: Dean was no stranger to regrets, but he'd never expected to have this much trouble accepting the death of an irreverent, absentee archangel. Then again, it’d be a lot easier if he didn’t keep tripping over reminders of Gabriel all the freaking time. Or if he could stop dreaming about him.

Gabriel considered the question, eyes losing focus as he thought. “Folded sunlight,” he finally said. “When I flew, they sounded like a song...I used to know the sound. But I can’t remember it now.” [x]

The sounds of his own passage covered up any noise that might be made by someone following in his tracks, and his skin was crawling with nervous tension. Going out into the middle of nowhere alone and leaving his back open to something that might be Gabriel was another one of those stunts he’d have killed Sam for pulling. Seeing a break in the stalks ahead was a relief. Maybe they were finally getting close to whatever it was Gabriel had brought them out here to find. [x]

Oh my god honey these are so gorgeous. Between the light and shadows and the amazing lines I'm just...

And their facial expressions! Gabriel's smirk is dead on and Dean's "I'm not taking this shit" look is just awesome. And the way Gabriel is sort of tugging on him. Oh man, this is just a ton of win. All over the place. I love these!!!

//////u///////// Thanks Decky! The last drawing wasn't exactly described in evening_bat's writing because it's written in Dean's POV but her description of the scenery and the emotions... Needless to say I was quiet inspired :)

The master post is up on the comm. (I've got the story itself posted on my LJ, DW & AO3. Each one links back to here as well.)

Can I just take one more opportunity to tell you how much I love these pictures? You did an absolutely incredible job, and I'm still totally blown away by how amazing this art is. The line work was gorgeous, the coloured versions are stunning and I can't say enough about how well you've captured both characters.

Thanks again and I am so happy to have had a chance to work with you! :D
